Willkommen!
(Welcome)
Plan a little extra time to enjoy the
scenery on the way to Leavenworth..
There are often great waterfalls and
natural wonders to see on the way.
Check into your lodging
establishment. (usually around 3pm)
Relax around the pool or in your
room, and get ready to head out for
dinner.
Plan to have dinner around 5 or 6
pm. While visiting explore the variety
of foods from German, Austrian, Italian,
American, Mexican, and Chinese
cultures. Many restaurants in
Leavenworth serve until approximately 9
pm.
Enjoy the evening exploring
Riverfront park and around Blackbird
Island looking for wild birds and deer,
or play a round of Championship
Miniature Golf. |
Most lodging
establishments offer breakfast with your
overnight stay.
Spend the morning
visiting the Leavenworth Village shops.
Enjoy an ice cream cone or a fresh
latte'. Plan on a great lunch
either inside or outside. There are
great soup and sandwich shops as well as
sausage stands and family dining
restaurants.
Head out for an
afternoon float on the Wenatchee
River... Breathtaking scenery and
wildlife await you (not only your
guides!) as you float in inflatable
rafts or kayaks.
Plan on finishing dinner
by 7pm so that you can get to a
fantastic Leavenworth Summer Theater
production by 7:30 pm for a 8 pm
production. |
After Breakfast drive to the nearby town
of Cashmere about 15 minutes east of
Leavenworth. Check out the world famous
home to Aplets and Cotlets candy factory
and take a free tour! On weekdays
you'll be able to watch the candy
process live. Remember to taste free
samples!
After sampling candy, head to the
Pioneer Village and Museum. Explore the
pioneer homes and shops around the lawn
and then tour the museum for outstanding
displays of Native American artifacts,
natural history, and pioneer exhibits.
Either enjoy lunch in Cashmere or
head to Ohme Gardens County Park for
breathtaking views of Wenatchee from an
alpine meadow.
This evening enjoy a round of
Bavarian themed miniature golf or cool
off in a bumper boat pond or
Leavenworth's movie theater.

Then enjoy a great cowboy barbecue lunch
before heading back into town.

North America!
Spend some time visiting our local
wineries. With great scenic drives
you'll find them a great way to spend
the rest of the afternoon and evening. |
If it's already time to leave for your
next destination then you'll be able to
come back and enjoy a few more days with
us in Leavenworth! We still haven't
gone through the Art in the Park, danced
to accordion music, visited with locals
at a coffee shop or pub, listened to
folk music at the grange, enjoyed world
class music with Icicle Creek Music
Center, or participated in one of the
many festivals designed to delight our
visitors! For the outdoor enthusiast
there is White Water River Rafting, Rock
Climbing and Hiking, and in the winter
many winter sports. |
Remember that Leavenworth is part of the
awe inspiring Cascade Loop Scenic Drive
in Washington State. There are more
things to see and do while you travel
from the waters of Puget Sound over the
Cascade Mountains and through Eastern
Washington then back over the North
Cascades Highway and through the country
side. If you are coming from out of
state you may want to plan for a week or
more in Washington! |
